DESCRIPTION

Grown Up & Me ART 1+ brings a children’s book to life through engaging, hands-on art projects where messiness is encouraged (smocks provided). We begin each class introducing ourselves, singing our Hello song, and reading a captivating story. Some of our favorites are Eric Carle's “Hungry Caterpillar”, “Pete the Cat”, and “The Big Blue Truck”. We use these stories to inspire our various art projects, meant to introduce little ones to a variety of art skills and fun We use these stories to inspire our various art projects, meant to introduce little ones to a variety of art skills and fun materials. Projects include painting the main character of the story, building a collage of the story’s setting, drawing stencil art of story elements, and creative exploration. Once our masterpieces are complete, we clean up and celebrate our hard work with a bubble dance party. Children will leave with their projects, some new art techniques, and friends! Developmental Activation: fine motor skills, print awareness, sensory input
